Yet More From The Writing Challenge ~ Use The 1200 Most Common English Words In A Story

Back in June of last year, I started the Writing Challenge ~ Use The 1200 Most Common Words To Write A Story…

You can find the list of words in that last link.

My first mistake was to say, “To Write A Story”, instead of “In A Story”—folks could think I meant they had to use Only the 1200 words

However, in the post, First Response To Our Writing Challenge, Gwenette WriterSinclair wrote the first chapter of a story using the first 100 words.

Time went by………

In the Comments of that last linked-to post, Barbara Blackcinder wrote a chapter of a story but used words 1100 to 1200.

I made my second mistake in the post, More from The Writing Challenge With The Most Common Words.

Barbara had added another chapter and I put them both in that last post.

Since she had started at the end of the list, I thought she was working from the end of a story to the beginning—Wrong!

Recently, Barbara added 3 more chapters and I finally have them in the right order:

Download Barbara’s first 5 chapters as a Word .doc or an Adobe .pdf.

Will Barbara continue her story?

Will Gwenette ever come back??

Are you game to take the Challenge?
